When you've received a check or cash payment from a parent, you can deposit it in your Snap! Spend bank account and apply that to a player by reconciling the payment. Here's an overview on how to handling offline payments:
Step 1: Deposit the check or cash payment
- Depositing Cash
You have two options for depositing cash. You can use your Snap! Spend debit card to deposit cash directly to your account at any GreenDot location, or you can deposit it via personal or cashier's check. See here for a step-by-step guide.
- Depositing Checks
You can use the mobile deposit feature in your Team Banking tab. We recommend that you deposit checks using a smartphone to easily upload the check images. See here for a step-by-step guide.
Step 2: Reconcile the payment
- Reconciling a payment allows you to apply the funds to a specific player(s). A payment will be available for reconciliation when it is highlighted in yellow in your Settled Transactions in the Team Banking tab. See here for a step-by-step guide.
- If you made a mobile deposit
Your deposit will initially appear in your Pending Transactions and will take 2-3 business days to settle. Once it has settled, it will appear highlighted yellow in your Settled Transactions.
- If you deposited cash directly to your card via GreenDot
The funds will be available to reconcile 5-10 minutes after depositing.
Adding credit to a player
If you have deposited the cash or check payment to the club or team's external bank account already, and you are looking to record that on a player's account, you can use the Add Credit Memo feature. Here's a guide on how to do that: Add Credit Memo: Recording a Cash or Check Payment
